Tony Sideris

Tony is a registered professional nuclear engineer that spent 40 years of his working life in the nuclear industry. His experience included nuclear power plants and uranium enrichment plants. He was a senior member in engineering organizations that developed industry standards, authored technical papers and teaching books and started a nuclear workforce development program in a southern university. He was also a lecturer for the International Atomic Energy Agency and a senior program manager at the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations. He is a US Army Veteran.

He was born and raised at the port of Pireas, in Greece, and grew up on the Mediterranean. In the United States, he started his engineering career as an instrumentation and controls design engineer and he worked at several different nuclear plants managing preoperational startup projects. In his free time, he is a sailor, pilot, gardener, fisherman and a writer.
